Fata Morgana

1.     Fata Morgana

I’ve journeyed to find salvation, but it seems I’ve hit a wall.

It seems I’m still under Miss Fortune’s thrall.

Time fixed nothing for me, nothing at all.

I was fed lies of karma, but the wicked’s fall

God seems to want to forever stall.

The path laid out for me by God was a path through Hell.

Once a vibrant woman, now I’m just a broken shell.

From grace I fell, sought out evil and performed many a spell,

To my bad fortune repel, against God Himself rebel.

Any hope for grace He did dispel, so now I bid Him farewell.

I’m not grateful for all that God gave,

He cast me into this world and then my soul refused to save.

All my life I’ve fought and now I’m a living grave.

I’m told that’s the cost of being brave.

Goodness is all I crave, but to change my fate, to my own darkness I must cave.
