Copper
Cattle
In
the near distance,
copper
cattle
with
long glass horns,
have
stopped,
in
a yellow field,
yellow
against black foothills,
black
against ochre mountains,
that
point like steeples
to
white clouds grazing
in
the maya blue sky.
They
stare from dark tourmaline eyes.
They
don’t know
what
maya blue means.
