Scheele’s Green
Paint your own death
in my image.
Hang me on the wall,
and let me feast my eyes upon
you
as your assassin.
Such beauty;
you are at the mercy
of sweet and pretty poison.
You are a victim of pomp,
as you worship my color of conceit.
I wrest from you
the count of every bead,
the count of every pleat,
the count of every breath.
May your last vision
be of beautiful fields of verdancy.
