An Arcadian Leopard, a Pantoum

An Arcadian Leopard, a Pantoum

When sounds turn to dust, stop-
close your eyes then dream some
be a smooth blues, a guitar string
life’s a dream, sail over dunes, dust storms blinds none.

close your eyes, then dream some:
be an Arcadian leopard leaping over a crescent moon,
life’s dream, sail over dunes, dust storms blinds none
feed your regrets to a cat instead

be an Arcadian leopard leaping over a crescent moon,
qualms dissipate, dust into stars, showers suckling Verdun plains
feed your regrets to a cat instead
when sounds turn to dust, STOP.
