A New Road

A New Road

I take to the road

when loneliness sets

in and I feel the

hard times seeping through.

Nothing clears these thoughts.

When I reach a dead

end or when I am

lost, the journey takes

me to a detour.

I find a new road.

It liberates me.

Through wet autumn days

I drive the road like

I could never die

in the worst rainstorm.
