Serious Culture
The culture in Paris is serious business
Nothing fly by night here as it all seems
To have some kind of basis in history,
Knowing fully what they are part of and
How to continue their great tradition.
Whether it be an opera star singing
In a bar or a bagpipe player dressed in
Full regalia giving his all on one of the
Many bridges, maybe making waves for
Future Scottish independence, or that
Young Dylanesque folk type who
Played a beautiful tune on the Metro
They all seemed to know where they
Were coming from, not just chanced
Upon a scheme to get rich or simply
Worst of all get famous and for that
I salute them.
