Gulf Stream Currents
sand
holds the impression of ribs
carcasses
bob in the ocean
highland pipes, kilt, and brogue - it was hard to imagine
palm trees and white sand ground smooth by gale and surf
a bouffant of desert sedge rustles
dunes of prominence shift from one side to the other
battlefield empty
souls skittered across the shoals
trickled along the Northwest ridge-back of dragon
sliced high around the coved blades of shoulders
stalks of grass twitched – rattled
seed pods dry
