February Days
A gray day
Gale force winds blowing the trees
Barren limbs at mid-winter
Highlighting the grayness
Of a bleak February day
In retreat
Squirrels scamper across branches
Looking for shelter from the wind
A safe haven from the storm
Another manifestation
Fanciful forecasts
Fluctuating with each broadcast
Predictions of more to come
Horizons filled with dreary days
Awaiting reprieve
