Soul Recital
It is a delicate dance to choreograph
this meeting of souls
First we peer cautiously across the expanse
of the universal ballroom floor
each stealing lingering glances
hoping to be caught
Pulled by the inexplicable connection
we cannot explain
that we are unable to leave unexplored
Carefully reaching out
clasping hands
the energy rushes home
my awareness forever expands
as mutual recognition
reignites the flame
so long split apart
a piece of us now resides
forever united
in a place we never knew we’d lost.
I love this us we’ve found.
