More
to Scrape Off My Shoe
Long
lost is gratitude for helping another
Whether
a piece of bread or a publishing break
We
have fools with their hands out
But
never their hands in helping another
Be
they counterfeit cowboys
Or
hopeless hippie homeboys
The
pain is the same
That
your efforts
Merit
no respect.

I’m with you. Too many selfish pricks out there. I don’t know how you do much for these people and they could care if you live or die.

ReplyDeleteSad. Work without appreciation and effort without gratitude can drain the spirit. That came across quite well. Hope these feelings are ones that transform. That worth is seen.
