Invisible Aerie
I want to rest inside
your memory
all the details twigs
and straw
leaves and sticks
your face and voice.
I will forget
the pebbles and rocks
that caused
discomfort.
I want to feel the
softness
of sanctuary in your
missing eyes
since you've flown off.
I will remember your
body
and look forward to
your return
even though the sky
grows dark.
