Moving
Day
Everything packed
and loaded
into the car,
including the bird
feeder.
As I walk through
the old place
one last time,
I see the birds
gathered on the porch,
singing for a
supper
that will not come.

Excellent poem! It says everything it needs to, not a word of fluff or out-of-place.
