Returning To The Home Place
If I am not
laid down
among my own,
will there be many,
will there be any
to recall my life,
even my name, to
stop time’s quick grasses
growing thickly on
the small bright tracks
where
I may once have passed?

Anthony
Wade is a graduate lawyer with a Master’s Degree. An Irish national he was
educated in England and also worked in The Netherlands, and speaks
Dutch. He is an emerging poet with two poems published this year in MonthsToYears, The East
Cork Journal, Scirttura. He now lives by the sea in East Cork with his wife, Pamela, and a
very dim and loved marmalade cat, Basil.
