To
Dread or not to Dread
"The world is neither fair nor
unfair"
sang Robert Smith
The philosophical battle
we must all face in the end
is what to think of death
Death, the unyielding
Death, the mask of the spirit
Death, the obsession of the broken
For some it is sweet release
While others view it as
a hell to never look upon or accept
Flesh becomes bone
Bone becomes ash
Ash becomes carbon
The soil smiles at the gift
While we dread our fate
Perspectives shift
People grow
Lives change
The only advice I
can give you is to
love before Thanatos
has had his say
